For a child, leaving an Early Childcare Centre (ECE) and going to school for the first time can be scary, for both the child and parent.
The key for a smooth transition is in the preparation and getting your child familiar with the new school before their first day. In our transition to school video, Sione talks to his mother about his concerns and together they put a plan in place to make the transition as smooth as possible.
In this video, little Sione attends school for the first time, supported by his mother they both meet with the Deputy Principal, meet the new entrant teacher and go for a quick tour around the school. When they get back to class, Sione introduces himself then settles in for his first day of school.
At Pacific Learners, we are passionate about seeing our children flourish, grow and reach their full potential.
