Rotuman Language Week
Pacific Learners is passionate about the revitalisation of Pacific Languages, so we are delighted to bring you the Rotuman Language Resource Page.
The Rotuman language is under threat, according to UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) the language is regarded as ‘endangered’.
As a Pacific Community, we have a collective obligation to promote and embrace the Rotuman language.
Current Rotuman language speakers total 15,000 worldwide, so as we embark on our strategy to revitalise Pacific Languages, we will be creating content that will strengthen basic Rotuman language abilities, this will be done through the creation of animated videos, images and Rotuman language interviews.
