The Lord’s Prayer in Samoan

We all have a responsibility to pass on simple cultural phrases, songs, stories and scriptures to our children. By doing so, they can have a positive impact on our children’s sense of identity and belonging.

In this video, we bring you the Lord’s Prayer translated from English to Samoan

At Pacific Learners, we are committed to creating high-quality Pacific language content that supports children in their cultural, spiritual, and educational journey. Our mission is to help families learn Samoan and other Pacific languages online through accessible videos, translations, and learning resources that strengthen identity and belonging.

Passing on simple cultural phrases, traditional songs, stories, and scriptures plays a vital role in preserving Pacific heritage. When children grow up hearing and speaking their language, they develop confidence, cultural pride, and a stronger connection to their community. Providing meaningful Samoan language videos for families and schools helps ensure these traditions continue for future generations.

As stated in Article 1 of the Constitution of Samoa, Samoa is founded on Christian principles. In recognition of this heritage, we have translated one of the most well-known scriptures in the Bible, The Lord’s Prayer, from English to Samoan. This translation supports those who want to learn Samoan scripture, strengthen their faith in their own language, and deepen their understanding of both culture and spirituality.
